Slytherin Christmas
Slytherin Christmas was the theme of my 2020 Christmas. As a Harry Potter obsessed human and a badass Slytherin, I knew I had to make this wicked thought a reality. I had such a blast picking out the wrapping paper, garland, ornaments, decor, ribbons and tie on’s. The color story was composed of the perfect emerald green with black and white accents for contrast. I fell in love with the greenery and beautiful ribbons I bought from Target and Michaels. I think the theme came together beautifully.
I found the emerald green wrapping paper and white star wrapping paper at Target along with some beautiful garland from Sugar Paper LA. I snagged some stunning bone china ornaments and a cypress faux cedar wreath from Crate & Barrel. I got black marble ornaments from the Jennifer Fisher collection at CB2 along with some inanely great white beaded wood garland from CB2. One of my favorite touches from the theme was the tree collar from CB2. It added such an elegant and homey look to my Christmas tree. I loved how the bright white contrasted my dark wood floors. It truly made the theme look amazing!
Slytherin Christmas called for some modern accents on my fire place so the large and small marble swirl trees from CB2 were the perfect choices. Foursided had two cute little black reindeer stocking holders that sit beautifully on my mantel. I also grabbed a black basket, a graphic blanket and some pillows from CB2 to make my fireplace a bit more cozy. The lovely green stockings are from Target. I absolutely adore Chip and Joanna Gaines line called Hearth and Home, they have the cutest Christmas collections.
I would consider myself a wrap-a-holic so wrapping presents for me is so much fun. I usually end up shopping for gifts right around the end of November just so I can nail down my wrapping theme. I am a part of two very large and very loud Italian families so I usually end up buying over 70+ gifts because I have 4-6 Christmases every year. Curating my Christmas theme brings me so much joy and I will always create a beautiful mountain of gifts under my tree every year. I can’t wait to see what Ill dream up for 2021 and what colors will take over my living room next year.
