Foyer Upgrade

Over quarantine I choose to tackle my elevator foyer in my condo. I bought my condo in June of 2019 and I was so happy to finally find the time to renovate my foyer. The room itself was very outdated and had an ugly wallpaper. I decided I was sick of this outdated and tacky look around midnight one night so i stripped all 6 panels of wallpaper down. I spent two days renovating my foyer. I stripped the wallpaper wall first and then painted over the ugly brassey/ bronze metallic walls with a nice and simple light grey. The grey made the wall trimmings really pop! I bought the cutest wallpaper from a store that was full of black and white speckles. I hired Las Mela’s Wallpaper Co off of the home advisor app. They did a great job and it only cost me around $300 to get it installed. I needed two rolls of wallpaper to cover this feature wall in my foyer.

I purchased an absolutely stunning floor mirror form Rejuvenation from $2,000. Its called The Arched Metal Framed Floor Mirror and I selected the oi-rubbed bronze because it looked the most black. I invested in a huge and tall black planer from Crate & Barrel called The Saabira Fiberstone Planter. I ended up planting one of my large snake plants in there because they don’t really need light. I also purchased a few vases from CB2. I bought the infamous Celia vase, which reminds me of a gorgeous curvy woman. I also snagged the Quill vase from CB2 because it reminded me of the wallpaper I picked. I also purchased the Pleasant Grove Round Marble End Table with white marble from Threshold at Target. I chose to add some dried eucalyptus from Trader Joe’s in the empty vases. The previous owners had the hand painted cherry blossom wallpaper framed in-between the stairs and elevator so i decided to paint the red frame black and add the new black and white Runes wallpaper to it. I think it really ties the room together. I eventually want to replace the light fixture because it is so modern and dimly lit but I’ll get to it eventually!
