The Green Mill Cocktail Lounge is a must. This bar is located in Uptown. It’s one of my favorite things about my neighborhood. You are drawn in by the green flashing lights and the promise of good music. Highly recommend grabbing your bud and enjoying this place. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

From the moment you step in, you feel as though you stepped into a black and white movie. The vibe is timeless and classic. There’s a $7 cash cover to get in and it’s money well spent to be able to listen to the fabulous and extremely talented jazz bands that play there.If your lucky your bartender will talk your ear off with few stories of the days that Al Capone would pop in.

If you love jazz I highly recommend this place. Be sure to bring cash, they don’t accept any credit cards, its an all cash bar.Don’t forget to find yourself a gorgeous green dress and a pair of snakeskin boots. Maybe have yourself a fun little photo shoot in front this iconic Chicago staple.
