Quarter Life Crisis

I turned 25 this year and I have to admit that I nailed my quarter life crisis on the head. 2020 was quite literally the worst year of my life, I decided that my birthday was going to be epic even though it was in the middle of quarantine. I made reservations at all my favorite restaurants and picked out a cute birthday outfit. I even ordered a custom cake from my favorite bakery called Toni’s Patisserie. Even though my birthday was in the middle of a pandemic, I was still able to wear my mask and dine out on patios safely.

I started my day with a little photoshoot in my rolling stones outfit at a fire station in Uptown. My mom and i went to Blue Door Farm Stand for the first time. We were greeted with free champagne and we had a delicious breakfast. After brunching and drinking cocktails all morning, I popped in Francesca’s and treated myself to some new outfits and cute jewelry.

Next we were off to Aba in the West Loop. Aba is a Mediterranean rooftop that has amazing cuisine. From the delicious steak to the killer desserts, I highly recommend this rooftop. The décor was stunning and the service was fantastic. Although it started to rain on my birthday, we just kept the cocktails and wine coming all afternoon!

Our third food stop was dinner at the Ralph Lauren Bar and Grill, A.K.A. my favorite steak in the entire city. There is just something about the béarnaise sauce and garlic shallot butter sauce that just makes this steak taste that much more amazing! The in house cheesecakes is also one of my favorite desserts in the whole wide world. They did not have my cheesecake that night due to a minimized menu but I did get a cute little brownie. Unfortunately it was downpouring that night so we sat half inside/half outside and we enjoyed my favorite meal. Stop number four was Summer House Santa Monica. We decided to pop in for some margaritas and birthday treats. Summer house specializes in giant delicious cookies. My personal kryptonite is a peanut butter cookie. The staff were so sweet and they made me feel so special that night. They gave me a little birthday cookie and ice cream treat and sent me home with a dozen cookies. What a day!

I also took a trip to Parson for some good ole fashioned chicken and beer. I adore Parsons’s in house beer and amazing hush puppies. Their friend chicken is out of this world! go together with three of my best friends Masey, Dani and Claire for my birthday. We had charcuterie and gossiped for hours on end. We had way too much fun and enjoyed my giant birthday cake. I ordered a number 2 and 5 from Toni’s Patisserie with fruit, flowers and macaroons on top! The cake was a French vanilla sponge with a strawberry buttercream filling. I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday.
