Mario Tricoci
I had the wonderful opportunity to support a local Chicago empire called Mario Tricoci. I have been a long time fan and loyal customer to Mario Tricoci. They are incredible at what they do and they have so many talented hairstyles, nail techs, colorist and more! I had the luxury of working with the Mario Tricoci location in downtown Chicago on Michigan Avenue. To partner with such an iconic brand for social media content was an honor. I had my first experience at Mario Tricoci during March of 2022. I worked with the sweetest stylist named Van Daisy. She is by far one of the most talented stylists I’ve ever had. She really knows her way around a pair of scissors! We decided to accentuate my hair length and go for long layers. I received a hair consultation, a shampoo, a hair cut, a blowout and had my hair styled. Van Daisy was a delight and we had so much fun chatting and getting to know each other. The haircut framed my face beautifully and i loved all the long layers she added in. I usually wear my hair naturally curly or I give myself a blowout. This hair style worked perfectly in my everyday hair routine. I desperately needed a fresh cut because my split ends were so bad! I left the salon feeling fresh and confident. I posted a carousel on my Instagram of the entire experience.
The marketing team was so kind to give me a goodie bag. I had the opportunity to try the signature Mario Tricoci collection. I received the everyday shampoo, everyday conditioner, ultimate sculpting spray, dry shampoo, volumizing mousse and the everyday hairbrush. I loved trying out these products. They kept my hair shiny, bouncy and luscious. My two favorite things were the ultimate sculpting spray and the everyday hairbrush. The sculpting spray adds such a nice texture to my hair. I love products that are true to their description. The sculpting spray looked just as good in the salon as it did at home. I had salon worthy hair daily. This product is a must! The everyday hairbrush is a game changer. I adore the shape and look of the brush. IT has the Tricoci logo on the back of the brush head and the matte black gives this brush a lux vibe. The brush has a blend of boar and nylon bristles which allows for high-impact shine and smooth styling. It came in a cute little velvet bag and It’s super easy to travel with! You need this brush in your life. I enjoyed the products so much I styled them in my bathroom. The packaging is so minimalistic and modern. I especially loved the closure on the shmapoo and conditioner.
My second collaboration with Mario Tricoci was in August of 2022. I created a Tik Tok and an Instagram Reel. This was my first time creating a video for my feed and my Tik Tok. I was very new to the social media game. I am a zillennial so Tik Toks and Reels were a little intimidating. It was shockingly easy to do. I’m glad I researched how to film and properly brainstorm what content I wanted. I started out by filming my before look. MY hair was ridiculously long and extra curly. In summer my hair can get really hard to manage because it constantly makes me hot and bothered. I was lucky enough to request and get Van Daisy again as my stylist. She is such a talent and I’m glad she could cut my hair again! We went for a much shorter and spunkier look. We gave me cute little bangs and switched my side part for a middle part. I do have to admit I have a very stubborn widows peek and getting my hair to switch from a side part to a middle part was quite the challenge! I felt like a different person with a middle part. We had a styling student shoot some washing and cutting content while Van Daisy worked her magic. I filmed a few selfie shots and got some cute content with my stylist. After my blowout I didn’t even recognize myself. I felt so sexy and beautiful. This new haircut had me feeling confident as heck!
Please feel free to go to my Instagram or Tik Tok and check out my experience at this beautiful salon. It came out really rad and captured the experience beautifully. I ended up using Supermassive Black Hole by Muse as my sound choice. I blame Twilight for randomly distracting me on FX the night before! This sound captured my fierce energy and new killer cut!
