Osteria Rusticana

I’m a little biased when it comes to Italian food. It’s pure comfort food and absolutely delicious. Osteria Rusticana was no exception. The food was absolutely insane and I highly recommend you make a reservation for date night as soon as possible! We started the night with a phenomenal and absolutely delicious tagliare rustico. The charcuterie board was beautiful. It tasted just as good as it looked. For our primi, we chose to try the gnocchi al pesto trapanese and the risotto ai fungi but with a twist. I asked the chef to make a special creation with one of my all time favorite ingredients. Truffle risotto is one of my favorite dishes and luckily the chef created a ridiculously delicious hybrid of the mushroom/truffle dish for us. The gnocchi was like eating tiny little pillows of perfection. They were ridiculously soft and tasted like little drops of heaven. The handcrafted gnocchi sauce was absolutely incredible. You need to order this dish the minute you get to this restaurant!

For our secondi, we decided to split the bisteca ai fieri. This steak was so tender and juicy. It was a New York strip steak with sautéed mushrooms and sage potatoes. The potatoes were so crunchy and perfectly roasted. This steak is definitely a game changer. After all this delicious food I honestly don’t know how we had room for dessert. I of course had to order the panna cotta al pistachio. Fun fact: pistachios are my number one weakness. They are my favorite flavor in gelato and in almost every dessert. We also had to order the cannolocchi. We got three perfectly filled cannoli’s with a delightful cinnamon ricotta cream on the inside and a sprinkle of Sicilian pistachios on the outside. How could I pass up such delicious dolci? I had such an incredible experience at this restaurant. The service was fantastic and the food was stupendous. You need to make a reservation for your next date night here pronto!
