Summertime Gladness

I love summer time chi! I might be a little biased because my birthday is smack dab in the middle of July. I am so blessed to have such spectacular weather and good vibes around my b-day. Because 2020/2021 have been an absolute shit show, I decided to go all out for my 26th birthday top in 2022. It might be a bit cheesy, but after not celebrating my birthday for two years, I wanted to have a special outfit to ring in 26! I chose to support a Native American and Navajo designer out in California. I found the most incredibly gorgeous top from 4kinship. I would’ve never stumbled upon this beautiful handmade top if it weren’t for Instagram. I formerly worked for a brand called

Anthropologie and they have a very bad habit of ripping off and stealing designs from small brands. After seeing an expose on how awful and unkind Anthropologie was to this brand,I decided that I would rather pay for an artists true design; rather than pay for a crappy and subpar knock off version. It honestly angers me to my core to see large conglomerates rip off small artists and designers. It is beyond insensitive and horrible. During the pandemic I have done my best to support small businesses and try to put my money where my mouth is. I absolutely fell in love once I ordered from 4kinship. The colors alone are absolutely stunning. Not to mention a portion of the sales from this top went to help indigenous Native American people in California.
